Disabilities Support Worker

THE BASICS: PAY, BENEFITS, SCHEDULE

You'll have the opportunity to earn a competitive hourly rate ranging from $18.25 to $20.75/hour while playing a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of life for others. We also offer excellent benefits such as ongoing training, health benefits for full-time positions, and a 401(k) plan. Join us!

Our Disabilities Support Workers enjoy a flexible work schedule designed to accommodate both full-time and part-time commitments. The typical schedule includes shifts on Sunday from 8 am to 4 pm, as well as Wednesday through Monday from 9 pm to 8 am, as well as overnight shifts from Monday through Friday from 10 pm to 8 am, providing ample opportunities to provide essential care and support.

YOUR DAY

In the role of a Disabilities Support Worker, your daily responsibilities revolve around coaching, supporting, and fostering effective communication with individuals who face cognitive, developmental, and physical disabilities. Your duties encompass assisting with daily living activities, including personal care and meal preparation, as well as offering emotional support and companionship. You will also play a critical role in medication management, healthcare appointments, and encouraging participation in community and recreational activities. Your days will be dynamic, filled with opportunities to positively impact the lives of those under your care.

TO EXCEL IN THIS PROFESSIONAL CAPACITY, YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

• Experience in supportive living services with individuals who have cognitive, developmental, and physical disabilities
• A compassionate heart and genuine dedication to enhancing the lives of others
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
