At the ViaQuest Foundation, our Transition Services team, partners with local, regional and national businesses and school districts to develop and promote Transition-aged youth in the workplace. Responsibilities may include:
Responsibilities may include:
- Support and mentor small groups of high school students to develop skills necessary for entering the workforce, such as professional development and soft skills training.
- Train and supervise students who may have developmental disabilities to acquire the skills needed to perform specific job tasks, work routines and personal life habits.
- Assist students in performing their work responsibilities in a way that fosters independence, develop natural supports and help to ensure retention.
- Provide daily job skills training with a focus on community employment and inclusion.
Requirements for this position include:
- Experience within the field of special education, developmental disabilities or in a youth-centered field is preferred.
- Professional, responsible, mature, and flexible.
- Knowledge of food industry, retail, and hospitality services preferred.
- Professionally maintain daily documentation.
