Job Summary: Foundry Disa Technician performs pre-operation and routine checks while operating a Disamatic Mold Machine and Inductotherm Autopour. Technicians are responsible for pattern changes, monitoring iron and mechanical repairs/preventative maintenance as required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate Disamatic Mold Machine and Inductotherm Autopour
- Perform pre-operation checks (including guard placement, inspecting mold and pattern, stopper rod alignment)
- Perform routine checks (including molds, pattern and AMC)
- Slag the pour launder
- Obtain iron samples for QA spectrometer
- Take Iron temperature and maintain SPC charts.
- Perform mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance as required.
- May fill in for ladle operator at times.
- Ability to access Service Scheduling software in Sage to find preventative maintenance SRO or PM's.
- Ability to look up parts and order parts in Sage.
- Maintain a clean work environment in accordance with the 5L guidelines.
- Assist with or perform all other job related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum three to five years related experience and/or training preferred.
Summary of Necessary Knowledge, Experience and Skills:
- Working knowledge of PC and Windows based software.
- Basic Math Skills.
- Forklift License Required.
- Disa Experience Preferred.
- Autopour Experience Preferred.
- Welding Knowledge.
- Torch Knowledge.
- Sweeper Knowledge.
