iBUYPOWER is looking for a self driven, collaborative, and organized individual to join our Dis-assemble department for the position as a disassembler. This individual is responsible for carefully taking apart computer systems, packing the components, and transferring them to the RTV department. They are also responsible for inspecting components to ensure they meet the pre-requisites for getting credit back from the vendor. The ideal candidate should possess: fundamentals in assembling a computer system, knowledge of components and fundamentals of operating Microsoft Office.
Key Responsibilities
- Disassembling computers while keeping track of the components inside each of them.
- Inspecting components for damages (scratches, dents, liquid, etc).
- Packing components into proper boxes to be transferred to the RTV department.
- Lifting heavy systems from and on to carts.
- Unboxing Etail systems from vendors to prepare for disassembly.
- Organizing systems that have missing/swapped components and/or that are out of warranty.
- Scanning component serial numbers into excel to produce a report for transfer to another department.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 1 year experience in building computers.
- Warehouse environment experience.
- Fundamentals in operating in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to adapt to new tasks and SOP.
