1. Leads and promotes operational strategies across the system that enhance volunteer and external engagement in support of Arkansas Children’s.
2. Leads the development, implementation and evaluation of the volunteer work-plan resulting in a best-practice, comprehensive statewide volunteer system, including engagement of traditional and non-traditional volunteers.
3. Proactively recruits, engages and retains volunteers at all levels of Arkansas Children’s, effectively managing and measuring team performance.
4. Manages portfolio of partnerships and actively acquires new volunteers.
5. Manages portfolio of partnerships and actively acquires new volunteers.
6. Directs the integration of volunteers at all levels of Arkansas Children’s, identifying opportunities to improve patient and family experience when appropriate.
7. Responsible for enhancing partnership and connections between team members and key stakeholders that build organizational capability and capacity through expanded awareness and utilization of volunteer resources.
8. Serves as the supervisor to system-wide volunteer services and gift shop staff.
9. Establishes, justifies and monitors appropriate departmental and program budgets and specific performance metrics.
10. Develops quality improvement processes that include goals and performance targets.
11. Hires, terminates, evaluates, coaches, counsels and trains staff.
