Director, US Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) Finance

One of our key priorities as a company is to foster a DTC first mindset and to grow our DTC contribution while improving profitability. The US DTC business is the largest DTC business for LS&Co and as the Director of Finance you will be a critical member of the US DTC leadership team. In this role, you will report to the Vice President of Finance for the US & Canada cluster. You will be responsible for financial support for the US DTC organization. You will be the direct manager of finance managers supporting our ecommerce and stores businesses. You are the key finance business partner to the DTC leadership team including the managing director and heads of planning, merchandising, marketing, real estate, operations, stores, and human resources. You will lead the interpretation and analysis of financial, operational, and business performance results. In addition, you will partner with, and influence, cross-functional stakeholders to improve the financial standing of our DTC P&L which is a top priority for the company.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing decision support to the leaders of our direct-to-consumer business in the US. Influence operating decisions through insightful analysis of strategic business decisions for all cross functional partners.
  • Drive monthly and quarterly financial close process for the US DTC organization.
  • Support in the management of essential balance sheet/cash flow items related to the US DTC business.
  • Manage the interpretation and analysis of financial, operational, and business performance results of the US DTC segment to achieve annual financial commitments.
  • Lead forecast and planning process for US DTC together with the business and planning teams
  • Develop, with the business, long-term strategic business plans to grow, and improve profitability, or our DTC business.
  • Actively lead and participate in cross-functional meetings, and projects, to drive attainment of financial goals.
  • Provide financial guidance and decision support for investment initiatives in our stores and Ecommerce business.
  • Share best practice learnings with Canada and Global DTC
  • Lead and develop direct reports and provide guidance as they manage their direct resources.

Qualifications and Relevant Experience:
  • CPA or similar professional qualification
  • High degree of curiosity, flexibility, and adaptability.
  • At least 10-15 years of relevant professional experience in retail, apparel, or digital business.
  • Understanding and experience with Retail P&L and cash flow generation.
  • Understanding of key retail business KPI's (i.e. traffic, Conversion, AUR, UPT, Labor, CAC, CLTV, ROAS, etc.).
  • Retail accounting knowledge (i.e. revenue recognition principles, fixed assets, leases)
  • Experience with SAP, Essbase, Webi, Tableau, Xstore
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high quality results.
  • Proven ability to work with all levels and departments within an organization.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and a strong executive presence.
  • Prior people management experience.
  • Kind and enjoyable to work with; team player.

The expected starting salary range for this role is $142,100 - $215,200. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, performance and business needs.
