Job Description
Apical Resource Group, a division of Jackson Staffing Group is currently seeking a candidate for the position of Director of Travel Supplier Relations to lead the sales efforts on behalf of our client. This individual will be responsible for maintaining existing Travel Supplier Relationships and seek to bring on new suppliers. Must also increase awareness and revenues of our client's products and services to Travel Suppliers.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify and prospect new Travel Suppliers
- Produce active clients from existing prospect list
- Direct sales efforts with renewal accounts
- Achieve minimum sales performance as mutually agreed to
- Participate in strategic planning
- Trade Show participation
- Maintain all work efforts in Active Campaign (CRM)
- Awareness of and report on competitive landscape
- Manage and achieve business plan objective
- Other duties, as assigned

- Interaction and communication with Travel Supplier clients, management, and peers

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
Education:
- Minimum 4-year college degree preferred
Desirable Qualifications:
- Industry designations (CTC, CTA, CTIE, etc.)
Direct Knowledge:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Knowledge of inner workings of global Consortia (must have)
- Familiar with marketing concepts and products and services offered to Travel Suppliers
- Highly motivated sales individual with proven track record
- Must be on top of market / industry developments
- Extensive experience in global travel industry
- Similar previous responsibilities
- History of developing and implementing successful, written sales plans
Desirable Qualifications:
- Multinational experience
- Implemented global products and services on a large scale
- Fluency in a second language a plus
Experience:
Minimum Qualifications:
- 8-10 years of successful selling experience for large agency groups, travel management companies, or consortia
- Strong sales process, organizational and time-management skills, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
- Proven intellectual and analytical capabilities to identify unique markets or business segments and to take the lead in developing proposals within given sales parameters
- Presentation and communication skills necessary to provide clear, concise product, company and market information to the customer base
- Excellent ability to network and create loyal relationships
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite products

- 8-10 years in a successful business development capacity

- Possession of excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

- Available to travel
