Expected pay for this position is $52.66 - $69.77/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Director of the Department of Surgery is responsible for the overall strategic and operational management of the Department of Surgery which includes surgery, the preadmission care unit, the post anesthesia care unit, the ambulatory surgery center, the sterile processing unit, and Wound Care.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: BSN within 6 years of hire date Licenses/Certifications: RN-Registered Nurse Experience: 1 year leadership experience Other skills/knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Graduate Degree in Nursing or similar field in accordance with position principal duties and responsibilities. Licensure/Certifications: Clinical Certifications in accordance with position principal duties and responsibilities. Other skills/knowledge: Interpersonal skills necessary in order to provide effective leadership to department personnel, maintain positive relationships among staff, physicians and medical center personnel, interact with patients and visitors. Analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills necessary to effectively organize and direct the work and to develop, implement and administer policies, procedures, budgets and clinical practices.
