Job Summary:

• Oversees the daily operations of the surgery department. Responsible for the procurement and maintenance of equipment and supplies, staffing and training of employees, and budgeting.
• May oversee pre- and post-operative care of patients.
• Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Performs a variety of complex tasks.
• Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required.
• The Director of Surgical Services reports to the CNO and is accountable for the effective delivery of competent, compassionate, efficient and safe patient care.
• The Director is account for the effective strategic planning, staffing, education, operational performance and financial management of assigned unit to accomplish nursing service goals.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• BSN in Nursing required.
• Master's Degree preferred.
• At least 3 years experience in the Surgical Services.
• Prior management experience preferred.
• Current Nevada RN license.
• BLS and ACLS required prior to start.
• Pals required within 3 months of hire.
