Overview
As the Director of Strategic Marketing, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of the company. You will help maximize revenue and market share by leading key initiatives including market data analysis and digital marketing strategies. You will also be responsible for leading our U.S. & Global Sustainability Task Forces dedicated to achieving our sustainability goals. This position requires a dynamic individual with a strong background in marketing, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to develop and execute effective strategies.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with the overall business objectives.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer behavior to identify opportunities and challenges.
- Utilize data-driven insights to optimize marketing performance and ROI.
- Present market intelligence to internal stakeholders and key customers.
- Develop and execute digital marketing strategies to achieve eCommerce initiative goals.
- Lead the execution of creating impactful marketing campaigns to enhance brand visibility and market presence.
- Lead and mentor the category management and digital marketing teams, providing guidance, training, and support to drive individual and team performance.
- Lead the U.S. and Global Sustainability Task Forces to achieve company sustainability goals.
- Implement a formal documentation process to facilitate customer reporting.
- Foster collaboration between marketing, sales, and other departments to ensure a unified approach to business goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency in messaging and branding across all channels.
- Provide regular reports and updates to the executive team on marketing performance, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
- 5+ years previous experience working in a Category Management, Marketing or Product Development Role within CPG.
- Proven track record of success in marketing leadership roles.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams to achieve ambitious goals.
- In-depth knowledge of marketing trends and industry best practices.
- Experience in B2B and D2C marketing is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of IRI, Retail Link, SPINS and other retail provided databases is considered a plus.
- Experience and/or passion for VMS and Dietary Supplement Categories preferred.
- Previous experience with selling and managing items on Amazon.
- High energy; self-motivated with strong work ethic.
