Director, Strategic Initiatives & Data Governance (Onsite/Hybrid)

Position Overview

As a key member of the Enterprise Risk Management team, you will be a part of AgriBank's mission to support the people who feed the world. The Director, Strategic Initiatives & Data Governance, leads and owns the successful implementation of the most critical strategic projects and data strategy execution and governance. Project management responsibilities include managing projects critical to AgriBank’s success, communicating project updates, defining project objectives, approving project plans and deliverables. Data governance responsibilities include developing, updating and maintaining documentation and processes to ensure the reliability and validity of AgriBank’s data.
Duties Include:

• Plans and leads cross-functional projects to implement new technologies, solve business problems, improve efficiency, and ensure stakeholder satisfaction
• Aligns project management plans with the risk management framework
• Develops project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
• Develops and leads the implementation of detailed project plans to monitor, track and communicate progress
• Estimates resource needs and budget and monitors resource utilization
• Develops or approves testing plans and monitors testing to ensure testing is completed and necessary changes or corrections are made
• Identifies and ensures risks related to projects are appropriately managed
• Develops or approves testing plans and monitors testing to ensure testing is completed and necessary changes or corrections are made
• Ensures transformation of business processes through communication and training
• Leads the development and implementation of a comprehensive Data Governance framework
• Creates and maintains Data Governance policies and procedures
• Ensures data security measures, including user access control, encryption and auditing are defined to protect sensitive data
• Works in a highly matrixed environment, including internal and external resources
• Determines division of responsibilities and provides work guidance and direction

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business or a related field
• Master’s degree preferred
• 10 to 14 years of related experience, including 5 to 7 years of supervisory experience
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job

Knowledge

• Expert knowledge of financial systems and data environment
• Working knowledge of Agile methodology
• Working knowledge of Data Governance best practices

Skills

• Strong oral and written communication skills, sufficient to exchange complex information effectively with management, internal and external stakeholders, and others
• Advanced proficiency with structured query language (SQL) and relational databases
• Advanced proficiency in querying large data sets
