As the Director of Software Engineering and Architecture, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and technical expertise to drive the development and implementation of innovative software solutions. This role requires a strong background in Software Engineering, architecture, and project management, as well as the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software products

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Strategy:

Provide strategic direction for software development and architecture initiatives in alignment with organizational goals.

Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, architects, and technical leads.

Drive the adoption of best practices, coding standards, and development methodologies.

Software Architecture:

Define and evolve the overall software architecture to ensure scalability, performance, and maintainability.

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.

Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to inform architectural decisions.

Project Management:

Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software projects within scope, schedule, and budget constraints.

Implement agile development methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.

Collaboration and Communication:

Foster a collaborative and innovative culture within the Software Engineering team.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, quality assurance, and infrastructure teams.

Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, milestones, and potential challenges.

Quality Assurance and Performance Optimization:

Establish and enforce quality assurance processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality software.

Implement strategies for code review, testing, and performance optimization.

Drive continuous improvement through feedback and lessons learned from project retrospectives

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience (15+ years) in Software Engineering, project management and architecture roles.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• In-depth knowledge of software development methodologies, architecture principles, and best practices.
• Proficiency in Azure, C#, React.js, Azure SQL, Auth0 and API Security, development frameworks, and relevant technologies.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with cloud platforms and microservices architecture is a plus.

Additional Job Information/Anticipated

Pay Range

pay range: $165,000 to $185,000. Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors including but not limited to job related knowledge, skills, and job specific/overall experience
