Are you a technology leader who enjoys solving consumer problems? We have an opportunity for a Director Software Development Engineering to join our team! You will deliver technologies that enable our global direct to customer and business to business eCommerce channels. This technologist will work closely with functional and technical leaders to plan and implement technology solutions. They will lead multiple technical teams that are responsible for delivering extraordinary customer facing experiences using open-source technologies and head-less architecture!
A day in the life of a Director Software Development Engineering:
Collaborating across the organization to plan the roadmap and delivery enterprise solutions to meet the customer needs.
Understand the business holistically and drive technical roadmap and solutions.
Mentor, retain, coach, empower and hire top talent.
Partner with product and technical teams to identify and plan capabilities to meet long and short-term business goals.
Connect the dots across multiple levels and performs to meet business needs.
Drives growth for business by applying technical and domain expertise to leadership.
Documents, reviews and ensures all quality and change control standards are met.
Develops plans and implements standards that are reliable and repeatable.
Drives operational excellence to meet internal and external customer needs.
What you'll bring:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, 5+ years leading a team.
Ideal candidate will have deep understanding of eCommerce technologies and ability to lead a technical team to align with company goals.
Hands on experience implementing head-less commerce and serving as a technical architect, mentor/advisor to lead the eCommerce technical team.
Proven leadership skills to plan, prioritize and lead the work of others.
Prior experience with open-source technologies (React, React Native, Node.js).
Ability to motivate, assess, hire and communicate to senior management on progress.
Experience with SFRA/SFCC or Magento is a plus.
International experience and global perspective.
