Director of Recreational Services – CVI - Senior Living/Rehabilitation Center at Hartsfield Village (Community Healthcare System)

SCHEDULE:

Primarily M-F during business hours. Requires occasional hours outside the normally defined workday or workweek.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Recreation, Sociology, Psychology or another related field required
• Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist (CTRS) certification required
• 1 – 3 years continuous work as an Activity Director and/or CTRS
• Experience in Long Term Care and/or Post-Acute care strongly preferred
• Experience in program development, staff training and oversight, operations, fiscal management, and community relations
• Computer and software proficiency to include familiarity with use of EMR platforms (ie: Matrix, EPIC, etc.)
• Must have CPR or be willing to obtain within 3 months.

Areas of Responsibility:

• Oversees the development and implementation of programming to promote patients and residents physical, cognitive and psychosocial well-being
• Attends QAA and/or clinical meetings/care conferences with the Interdisciplinary Team and collaborate to augment individual patient/resident goals
• Provides supervision and training to the Recreation Managers at the Rehabilitation Center and Senior Living
• Provides supervision and direction to the Transportation driver(s)
• Supports the Resident Council(s) as needed
• Supervises and encourage the development/maintenance of a robust Volunteer Program offering a variety of intergenerational programming campus wide
• Ensures Safety and Infection Control Procedures are followed in work performance
• Ensures requirements for patient assessment, documentation and development of treatment plan are met at each level of care as required
• Participates in routine review of Activity Programming with Administration at each level of care to ensure program goals are being met
• Uses Kronos Time and Attendance system to complete payroll for staff
• Performs related tasks as assigned
