Job Description
As a Director, Quality and Reliability you will play a pivotal role in driving product improvement across the organization. Leveraging your extensive experience, you will collaborate with development teams to ensure quality is ingrained in the design process. As the product progresses towards production, your focus will be on implementing a comprehensive production validation plan to ensure adherence to customer requirements. Post-production, you will work closely with Engineering and field operations to oversee the collection, tracking, and analysis of field data, assessing reliability and identifying any adverse trends.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate in Advanced Product Quality Planning activities, including PFMEA, Pre-Production Control Plans, Flow Diagrams, and In-Process Inspection Sheets.
- Coordinate the development of reliability test plans before production begins.
- Lead FMEA creation for all new products.
- Utilize Minitab and other statistical software to analyze field data and drive continuous product improvement.
- Monitor field issues, coordinating with engineering to implement corrective actions for all field-related challenges.
- Drive root-cause analysis, containment, corrective actions, and preventative solutions.
- Review dimensional analysis of issues through stack-up analysis (RSS).
- Review dimensional validations of parts to meet overall product quality intent.
- Prepare presentations summarizing results, findings, and proposed next steps.
- Facilitate communication between cross-functional teams to drive quality improvements to completion.
- Provide support for new product launches, continuous improvement initiatives, and troubleshooting related to quality engineering responsibilities.
- Assist in risk assessment and mitigation activities.
- Anticipate potential problems and take preventative action.
- Contribute to the 8D/Root Cause Analysis process by reviewing, auditing, and collecting information on manufacturing processes, design, specifications, quality systems, and detection methods. - Investigate root causes and provide corrective and preventative actions.
- Create and train on new documents, quality processes, non-conformance detection methods, and Lean concepts.
- Develop Quality Control Plans to support PFMEA creation and improvements.
- Establish inspection sampling plans and metrology equipment instructions.
- Analyze Gauge R&R data to drive error reduction and continuous improvement.
- Create and maintain Quality Assurance Dashboards to track Quality KPIs. - Review SOW requirements and support Engineering Tolerance Reviews.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equal Experience
- 10+ years of experience in product quality, quality systems, or program quality.
- 5+ years of experience in Quality leadership with a focus on production lines.
- Lean or Six Sigma Black or Green Belt certification.
- Experience with ISO 9001, AS9100, and IATF 16949.
- Proficient in RCA, CAPA, 5Y, 5W1H, 8D, and SCAR.
- Ability to work in Teamcenter and Net Suite.
- Proven ability to build and lead a strong team in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in Root Cause Analysis and Statistical Analysis.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize in a highly dynamic production environment.
- Able to work well under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines.
- Remain engaged, proactive, and positive in tough circumstances.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across all business levels and functions, both internally and with supplier relations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and proven knowledge of Microsoft Power BI.
