Job Summary

Under minimal supervision, uses extensive knowledge and skills obtained through education and experience to identify and implement opportunities for assigned product including new products, product enhancements, and process improvements with potential for improved client/advisor service, increased operational quality, efficiency, and cost savings for existing products. Serves as a subject matter expert for assigned product's production, technology, operations, and general business practices. Leads large or multiple projects with significant scope and impact. Works individually and as part of a team on difficult assignments that are broad in nature requiring originality and ingenuity with appreciable latitude for unreviewed actions or decisions. Works closely with product partners to understand product/department priorities and issues and ensures that product enhancements address key opportunities and deficiencies. Develops strategic and tactical plans and provides comprehensive solutions to complex problems. End results are evaluated for achieving goals and objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Part of Product Management team that owns line of business strategy, product offerings, and product positioning.

• Assesses, implements, and manages product development and product strategies, advisor/client experience, and process improvement.

• Engages in assessing and enhancing the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities.

• Serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on product origination, underwriting, operations, pricing, and general business practice

• Develops multi-year roadmap for the product.

• Actively participates on project teams to represent the product.

• Responsible for understanding the product's competitive landscape.

• Serves as product SME to business partners for information or assistance with other initiatives as needed.

• Responsible for implementation and execution of technology, new products, product enhancements, and process improvements.

• Manages procedures and policy updates.

• Manages forms/application/legal agreement changes and updates.

• Collaborates with Private Client Banking Training and Sales Support on training for new technology, product, and process enhancements.

• Coordinates field communication with Sales Support to support product enhancements and launches.

• Manages technology applications focused on loan origination.

• Leads pricing and pricing strategies with support of Pricing Desk.

• Part of Product Management team that owns product manufacturing, distribution, and servicing to ensure seamless delivery of product.

• Proactively works with IT and other partners on the assessment, business requirements, testing, and implementation of IT systems and software that support business strategy, process improvements, broker dealer integration and risk management.

• Manages change management for projects.

• May manage 3rd party relationships in collaboration with other areas (e.g., Loan Servicing)

• Gathers information from process owners and other SMEs, maps processes, and develops process workflow models.

• SME for new products and new product features (to include research, market, and financial analysis).

• Evaluates workflow attributes, including volume, duration, resources, operational effectiveness, and cost effectiveness.

• Determines data requirements, captures metrics to evaluate enhancement/process capability.

• Prepares reports of findings and options for organizational, process, and systems design changes and develop business cases to support project recommendations. Ensures business cases are sound and that all options are addressed, and potential risks identified.

• Develops and maintains relationships with other business units, inclusive of Private Client Group, to help maintain the strategic partnership, direction and coordinated approach of the product.

• Assists in managing risk, compliance, and audit remediation of product and proactively builds process improvements with risk controls.

• Assists in researching and resolving escalated client complaints.

• Maintains currency on industry changes, trends, process improvement techniques, methodologies and practices associated with product.

• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Product management to include product development, implementation, automation, and ongoing maintenance.

• Established organizational policies, strategies, and procedures for assigned product(s).

• The economics and structure of the assigned product(s)/business unit(s) represented.

• Word processing, spreadsheet knowledge, and typing sufficient to produce spreadsheets with basic formulas and business form letters and memos.

• Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications.

• Bachelor's degree (BA) in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration with a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience required.
