The Azure Quantum team in Redmond, WA, is seeking for a Director of Product Management for Drug Discovery, where you will be at the forefront of our Azure Quantum Elements platform, spearheading its expansion to meet the intricate needs of the pharmaceutical industry. Your role will involve understanding the unique challenges faced by pharmaceutical companies and leveraging the capabilities of AI and HPC to offer innovative solutions.

Responsibilities
Ideal candidates will have excellent skills in customer and partner management, and proficient technical depth in the Drug Discovery and pharmaceutical areas to engage with research teams with demonstrations, briefings, and support.
- Market Analysis & Strategy Development. Understand the needs, challenges, and opportunities in the pharmaceutical sector as they relate to molecular modeling. Develop a comprehensive strategy to integrate Azure Quantum Elements into the pharmaceutical research and development processes.
- Product Development & Management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, engineering, and software development, to build and refine AI and HPC solutions tailored for pharmaceutical applications. Manage the product lifecycle from concept to launch, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulations.
- Stakeholder Engagement. Engage with key stakeholders in the pharmaceutical industry to gather feedback, understand their requirements, and build strong relationships. Represent the company in industry conferences, workshops, and seminars, positioning Azure Quantum Elements as a leader in quantum computing for pharmaceuticals.
- Collaboration & Innovation. Work closely with computational scientists and engineers to explore innovative applications of AI and HPC in Drug Discovery, molecular modeling, and other relevant areas. Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product management, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry
- OR equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of molecular simulation and machine learning, and their applications Drug Discovery or chemistry development processes.
Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
- Travel: up to 25%, primarily customer site visits.
Additional/Preferred Qualifications:
- Equivalent work experience in pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated experience in managing a portfolio of customers and direct engagement with them.
- Outstanding communication skills with well-above average executive presence and communication style maturity (verbal and written).
Product Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $133,600 - $256,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $173,200 - $282,200 per year.
