The Director of Parent and Alumni Relationsis responsible for the strategic liaison between parents, students and IMGA staff.
Position Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive current and new parent engagement strategy that focuses on strengthening relationships between the school and its parent community
- Serve as initial point of contact and resource for IMG Academy parent concerns/issues/suggestions
- Facilitate meetings with appropriate IMG Academy staff when family expresses concern or feedback
- Proactively establish, maintain and grow relationships with student and parent-facing departments across campus, understanding the needs of the business.
- Consistently keep families informed/educated on IMG Academy programs, policies and procedures via monthly meetings and weekly communications
- Create sense of community among IMG Academy families by offering regular meetings, activities and social events
- Host and coordinate Parents Weekend in Fall and Spring
- Welcome all new families prior to their arrival and introduce Parent Relations as resource
- Produce a weekly communication highlighting key points of interest such as the week's events, news, images & stories for parents and families
- Maintain Parent email database
- Monitor Parent Group Facebook and other assigned social media accounts
- Report weekly to Head of School and work in collaboration with department leaders within the school and across IMG Academy
- Use data-driven insights to make improvements and set goals for enhancing parent relations. Continually evaluate and refine strategies for parent engagement and relations based on feedback, changing needs, and evolving best practices.
- Lead the formation of a Parent Advisory Council (PAC), with the primary purpose of the Parent Advisory Council being to represent the community's interests and ensure multiple voices are heard.
- Alumni Engagement:
- Develop and implement strategies to engage alumni, both locally and globally.
- Maintain regular communication with alumni through newsletters, emails, social media, and other channels.
- Maintain and update alumni records, ensuring accurate contact information.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethic codes
Knowledge, Skills and Ability
- Bachelor's degree, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired
- Ability to mitigate problems and problem solve efficiently
- Demonstrable planning, administrative, organizational, and budget skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with computerized data management programs and their application to the achievement of departmental and institutional goals
- Demonstrate leadership ability to develop strategic plans, implement programs, organize, initiate and motivate staff, high-level volunteer, and interact successfully with faculty and staff
- Flexibility to travel and attend evening and/or weekend planned events
- Desire to work collaboratively with colleagues
Preferred Skills
- Master's degree
- Bilingual
- Experience with boarding school life
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Must be able to move around campus which includes gym, turf, fields, etc.
- Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and holidays is required
