Job Title: Director of Wealth Planning
Job Overview
The Director of Wealth Planning’s primary responsibility is the leadership of the firm’s central Wealth Planning Team. The Wealth Planning Team exists to provide the firm’s advisors with tools and guidance that contribute to an outstanding client experience. The Team is a centralized resource that works to add value in the following areas: Goal Planning, Tax Planning, Estate Planning, and Insurance Planning.
The Director of Wealth Planning also works closely with firm leadership to develop innovative tools and processes that ensure that clients have a consistent and outstanding experience. The ideal candidate will bring comprehensive planning experience to the position, along with a desire to embrace and implement Confluence’s four Core Values: Do Right, Improve Everyday, Enjoy The Journey, and Be Thankful.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Wealth Planning Team
- Function as an expert/knowledge center for all things related to Wealth Planning
- Oversee construction of all client and prospect financial plans through MoneyGuide Pro
- Develop and oversee processes around tax and estate planning, including in depth analysis of client tax and estate documents using third-party software
- Supervise all insurance related business conducted by Confluence
- Guide the firm’s strategic direction, related to Wealth Planning
- Innovate Wealth Planning solutions for both Confluence advisors and clients
- Participate as an expert in client/prospect meetings as invited by advisors
- Write articles and develop content for firm marketing
- Function as a thought-leader related to Wealth Planning topics
- Train and equip new advisors/associates who will spend significant time on the Wealth Planning Team as they look to learn and gain experience
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Certified Financial Planner® Designation
- 7+ years’ experience related to Wealth Planning, either directly with clients or as part of a centralized team
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs, especially Excel
- Management experience preferred
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: Starting at $125,000
Work Location: Multiple Locations (McMurray, PA; Pittsburgh, PA; Sewickley, PA)
