SalaryOverview: The Biden For President campaign is seeking a talented, experienced digital video expert to lead the campaign’s video program. The Director of Video will manage the video team and help shape the campaign’s digital content strategy. The individual in this role should have significant experience in producing and editing digital videos, as well as leading a team of producers, videographers, and editors to create impactful work. They’ll use performance data and their deep knowledge of platform optimization to guide the team to create high-performing videos that reach millions of voters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the video team and foster a positive team culture.
- Establish a coherent strategy for producing high-performing videos quickly and efficiently.
- Oversee hiring and ensure that new members of the team are effectively onboarded.
- Give notes and constructive feedback on video cuts.
- Lead team meetings and brainstorms.
- Inspire the team to come up with new, reliably successful video formats.
- Manage the team budget and ensure that we’re effectively allocating resources as well as maintaining strong relationships with vendors and freelancers.
- Help guide videos through the internal approval process.
- Collaborate with teams across the campaign and effectively communicate with stakeholders.
- Ensure that members of the video team are being as productive and effective as they can be.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Significant experience producing high-performing videos for social media.
- Deep knowledge of social media platforms and an understanding of how to optimize videos for each.
- Significant experience leading and managing creatives.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience in all facets of Video production, including filming, lighting, and audio recording.
- Experience producing political content.
- The ability to work quickly and efficiently in high-pressure situations.
- The ability to collaborate respectfully and effectively with others.
- Experience managing budgets.
- Experience working with and filming principals is a bonus.
