The positionRenewables Americas Regional Business Development Strategy & Portfolio (REN AMER RBD S&P) team is a dynamic group of individuals who shape and contribute to the implementation of our strategic ambitions in North and South America.
By joining our team in Renewables you will have the opportunity to:
- Lead Transmission Policy and regulatory efforts related to large-scale renewable and energy storage development across eastern region
- Work in coordination with East CoastPolicy & Regulatory Lead to integrate actionable transmission solutions into ongoing policy shaping efforts
- Monitor and report on transmission and wholesale market developments from RTOs, state Public Service Commissions, utilities, and industry associations
- Represent Equinor at stakeholder and regulatory forums related to wholesale electric markets
- Coordinate with Region and Business Development teams to deploy transmission strategy across new business development opportunities
- Support in reviewing transmission studies and wholesale market assessments for projects across business development and asset development phases
This role is open to either Stamford or Boston office locations, candidates will be asked for their preference of location

- Significant Transmission Policy and wholesale market expertise (7+ years) across RTOs in the US, including specific experience (2+ years) in ISO-NE and NYISO regions
- A Bachelor’s degree is required, Master’s degree in Energy Policy, Electrical Engineering or relevant field
- Experience across key RTOs in Eastern US is highly regarded
- Experience around renewable energy public policy solicitations would be advantageous
- Understanding of wholesale market structures across Eastern RTOs is required
- Ability to collaborate and work across various project teams in a matrix organization is critical
- Proactive and strategic vision towards business development activities is valuable
- Organized and efficient with strong time management skills
