We are looking for a highly experienced Director of Transmission and Substation Operations to join our team. The ideal candidate should have at least 10 to 30 years of work experience in Transmission and Substation Construction, Battery Storage and High Voltage Projects. The Director of Operations will be responsible for overseeing all Transmission and Substation Operations and ensuring the efficient and reliable delivery of services. You will be responsible for implementing policies and procedures for Transmission and Substation construction, operation, and maintenance and for providing technical support and advice to project teams.
Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and standards for Transmission and Substation construction, operation, and maintenance.
- Develop and implement strategies and plans to ensure the efficient and reliable operation of the Transmission and Substation systems.
- Provide technical support to project teams and ensure that all construction and maintenance work is in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Provide technical guidance and advice to managers, engineers, and operations staff.
- Monitor the performance of contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
- Manage the selection, acquisition, and installation of new Transmission and Substation systems.
- Develop and manage the annual budget for Transmission and Substation Operations.
- Conduct regular inspections of Transmission and Substation facilities to ensure safety and reliability.
- Develop and implement strategies for the safe and efficient operation of the Transmission and Substation systems.
- Lead the investigation of any transmission or substation related incidents and develop corrective action plans.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with industry stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
- Participate in meetings, workshops, and conferences related to Transmission and Substation Operations.
- Keep abreast of industry developments and trends and advise senior management on opportunities and risks.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, or related field.
- 10 to 30 years of experience in Transmission and Substation Construction, Battery Storage, and High Voltage Projects.
- Excellent understanding of Transmission and Substation design, operation, and maintenance.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent problem solving and decision making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
