ABOUT THE POSITION
The Director of Therapeutic Services is a key member of the Clinical Leadership Team. They will manage clients' behavioral and mental health needs, ages four through adulthood, receiving Therapeutic Services from Behavioral Health therapists and Clinical Interns. The Director of Therapeutic Services will serve as an advocate for all youth and families on their caseload and within the greater Colorado Dream Foundation program, as well as those who report to them. The Director of Therapeutic Services will report to the Senior Director of Emotional Wellness and will work across the organization to meet the needs of the communities.
The Director of Therapeutic Services's primary responsibilities include:
Clinical Service Delivery
  • Program Facilitation: Provide direct therapeutic care and management of clients, ages four through adulthood, by developing and implementing therapeutic treatment plans and developing a therapeutic relationship with clients (and families, where applicable) to assist with behavioral health challenges.
  • Program Management: Assign caseloads for all Behavioral Health Therapists and Interns and support all clinicians in managing their caseloads.
  • Collaboration: Cross-collaborates with clinical and program teams to support the needs of clients, youth, and families in the program, and community members
  • Partnership Expectations: Collaborate with Senior Director of Emotional Wellness to secure and maintain relationships with community organizations and mental health partners to build and support social-emotional and mental health programs

Professional Development & Data Analysis
  • Skills Development: Support creating and facilitating professional development opportunities for team members, interns, and community partners. Additionally, participate in coaching and feedback sessions with the Senior Director of Emotional Wellness to ensure the successful execution of organizational goals.
  • Data Analysis: Direct the completion of behavioral health assessments for treatment or crisis intervention and support data analysis to prepare case records, reports, and documentation, ensuring compliance with state and federal standards of care.

Systems Advocacy
  • Client Advocacy: Opportunity to develop and execute one-time workshops and ongoing stakeholder learning and development courses through the collaborative planning process with community members.
  • Organizations Advocacy: Serve as a resource to the organization's overall mission and values through developing and maintaining relationships with clinical partners, allowing for the sustainability of the clinical program over time.

Internship Program
  • University Partnerships: Develop and maintain relationships with university and clinical partners with a focus on alignment to curriculum, allowing for the sustainability of the clinical program over time
  • Recruitment: Manage the recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding process for all Clinical Interns
  • Management: Provide robust weekly one-on-one supervision, monthly group supervision, and ongoing support to Clinical Interns and ensure that all required documentation, observations, and evaluations for assigned interns are completed on time

Other Duties
  • Building strong relationships with and among program participants, families, Dream Team Members, and external stakeholders
  • Participating in Colorado Dream Foundation all-staff training, meetings, and events
  • Development and facilitation of relevant Dream Team training opportunities

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's in Social Work or related field and corresponding State clinical licensure (LCSW, LPC, etc.)
  • Minimum of three years in a clinical setting providing individual or group therapy services, including at least one year in a management role
  • Excellent clinical skills and a thorough understanding of child development and behavior
  • Proven ability to individualize and use holistic therapeutic approaches to meet the needs of clients, moving them forward toward the achievement of Therapeutic goals and coaching others to do the same
  • Awareness of trauma-informed care and experience in embedding the principles into daily work with youth
  • Demonstrated belief in Colorado Dream Foundation's mission and values
  • Record of accomplishment in creating and sustaining an organizational culture that fosters diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • An unwavering belief that all clients can be successful
  • Strong team player
  • Flexible and capable with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining healthy boundaries
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop strong relationships across a diverse spectrum of stakeholders
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and special events as needed
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking Spanish is highly preferred

SALARY AND BENEFITS
This is a full-time, exempt position. The salary range is $70,000- $80,000 and may be negotiated depending on experience. Benefits include health, dental, vision, life insurance, a 401(k) matching program, paid time off, holidays and birthdays, professional development opportunities, and more.
