The Director will be a key leader within our Tax Transformation team, responsible for overseeing and managing the successful execution of complex programs, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, and driving transformative change. With a key component of Tax's strategy being to optimize both outsourcing and offshoring, the ideal candidate must bring strong global tax team experience to effectively help lead the continued development and execution of these strategies. Reporting to the Tax Transformation Leader, this role requires exceptional program management expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership skills to effectively guide the Tax business unit through large-scale, multi-year initiatives, including identifying and reassessing goals against measurable success criteria and resolving critical issues as they arise. This role will require both domestic and international travel.Responsibilities:Program Management Leadership:Provide strategic leadership and oversight for the planning, execution, and delivery of critical Tax Transformation programsDevelop and implement robust program management frameworks, methodologies, and best practices to ensure effective program governance, risk management, and quality outcomesFoster a culture of program management excellence, driving accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the Tax business unitEnsure programs are delivered on time, within budget, and meet or exceed established objectivesStrategy Development and Alignment:Collaborate closely with the Tax Transformation leader to align program initiatives with business unit and firm strategies and objectivesDrive the development and refinement of program strategies, ensuring they support the overall business goals and contribute to transformative changeMarket-facing Services:Create and drive a roadmap for taking internal Tax Transformation initiatives to market as service offerings both stand-alone and in conjunction with existing Tax service offeringsCreate new market opportunities for Tax Project Manager loan staffing, including partnering with the learning team to develop a curriculum for skillsetOutsourcing and Offshoring:Execute on Tax strategy in India, including advising on headcount planning, budgeting, evangelizing in the US, and helping with day-to-day operationsStrategize on additional future key jurisdictions to extend Tax offshoringAssess and optimize offshoring vendors and potentially additional vendors, leveraging knowledge across all areas of Tax specialties Change Management and Transformation:Partner with Tax Transformation Change Management leads to ensure successful execution and adoption of program outcomes and drive transformative changeExecutive Reporting and Communication:Prepare and deliver executive-level reports, presentations, and updates on program progress, risks, and achievementsProvide regular updates to senior leadership and stakeholders on program status, ensuring transparency and effective communication of critical informationQualifications:Bachelor's degreeProject Management Professional (PMP) Certification Minimum 15 years of experience in strategic project management or similar role (within Tax preferred)Experience in a senior leadership role overseeing complex programs and driving strategic transformation initiativesSignificant Experience building and leading global teamsDemonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels and across business units/disciplinesProven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneouslyAbout the Team: The Tax team at Crowe develops lasting relationships with clients by providing value, knowledge, and strategic focus. Learn more about our Tax teamThe wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Crowe, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
