We call our model of transformational education the Alvernia Advantage, and we believe this style of education transforms students into ethical leaders with moral courage. Alvernia University ranks in the top 100 among 2021 Best Regional Universities in the North by U.S. News & World Report, and we are recognized as a College of Distinction for our commitment to engaged experiential education. JOB SUMMARY: This managerial position is responsible for the oversight of strategic initiatives focused on Student Success and retention for adult and graduate students including enrollment, onboarding, and ongoing intervention.  ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 
    Serve as Supervising Manager for Student Success Coach staff members, as well as Lead for training and policy updates for entire Graduate and Adult Student Success Team. Assist Student Success Team with success plans and early intervention for high-need student support. 
    Manage and assign student caseloads and implement prescribed communication plans including meetings, phone calls, emails, and text messages, as well as provide proactive student advisement and coaching. 
    Prepare reports, manage data and systems (EAB Advise, MyEmma, PowerCampus) to implement communication strategies including but not limited to new student orientation, inactive student re-engagement, registration confirmations, and routine and timely Graduate & Adult Education student information updates.  
    Monitor metrics of GAE Student Success Advisors across campus locations and produce monthly dashboards for senior leadership. 
    Facilitate the successful transition of new students from the Admissions team to the Success team including the establishment of degree completion plans.  
    Coordinate course and/or University withdraw process each module, including add/drop and mid-module student progress, with Student Financial Services and Registrar’s office. 
    Monitor student attendance and academic progress and intervene appropriately (student, dean, faculty, etc.) 
    Review and troubleshoot GAE student outstanding balances in coordination with Student Financial Services and Director of Graduate Enrollment.  
    Serve as At-risk advisor to Graduate and Adult learners placed on academic probation and/or dismissal reinstatement. 
    Create and lead New Student Welcome in-person and virtually each semester with coordination from appropriate Success Coaches. 
    Coordinate onboarding for dual enrolled students, including sending welcome letters, leading in-person and virtual orientation, and acquiring student IDs. 
    Process requests for traditional undergraduate students requesting seats in adult online courses.  
    Monitor course enrollments and coordinate with departments, Admissions, and Success Team late registration course needs. 
    Serve as Student Success liaison to other University departments, Deans, Provost’s office, and GAE faculty. 
    Maintain and update any curriculum changes. Review proposed Adult Education course schedules provided by Deans and Registrar’s office and advise academic departments regarding a rotating schedule to maximize enrollment efficiencies for incoming and continuing students. 
    Maintain Advising Procedures Manual and communicate updated policies with entire GAE team. 
    Serve as Graduate & Adult liaison to the University Retention Committee and Thoughtful Assessment Group (TAG).

  ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 
    Provides support to the AVP or VP of Graduate and Adult Education with special projects or assignments. 
    Represents Alvernia University at various functions both on and off campus. 
    Performs other services deemed reasonable by the supervisor. 
 QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION: 
    Commitment to the mission statement, core values and goals of Alvernia University. 
    Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business, Education, Psychology, Counseling, or related discipline; Master’s degree preferred. 
    Ability to work with adult students in an advising and support capacity. 
    5 years of related work experience preferred. 
    Demonstrated experience in proactive customer care required. 
    Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and mastery of systems. 
     Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills. 
 PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 
    Attendance is required in order to perform the duties of this job.  
    Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 
    Ability to self-transport to various locations to perform essential functions. 
    Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
