Position Overview
The Director of Strategic Sourcing will work to optimizing on and off-fleet aircraft schedules from FlyUSA’s preferred network of part 135 aircraft operators. This is done by identifying strategic routing requests, developing industry relationships, and pre-negotiating charter pricing. A key component of this role will be assisting with the design of a sourcing engine that incorporates partner aircraft schedules within FlyUSA’s CRM.
This position must be strategic in the overall vision of aircraft sourcing, schedule optimization, building strong aircraft operator relationships and maximizing our sales team’s success under the direction of the Sales Manager and CEO. The Director of Strategic Sourcing is an expert in aircraft performance, market pricing, industry trends, aircraft management, aircraft quality, CRM development and operational regulations. This is a hybrid position, Florida preferred.

What you will do:
- Develop and maintain relationships with FlyUSA’s preferred network of operators
- Negotiate block time agreements when it makes sense
- Assist with building a sourcing tool designed to incorporate and prioritize partner fleets that provide us real time availability and pre-negotiated pricing
- Identify routing requests that will optimize FlyUSA’s on and off fleet schedules
- Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with aircraft operators (rebates, individual trips, fixed rates, block-time, etc.)
- Identify/negotiate owned empty legs
- Assist team in marketing and resell empty legs
- Work within a fast-paced detail-oriented environment
- 3-5 years aviation brokerage or operator experience
- Familiarity with hourly rates to operator aircraft of different sizes
- Proven experience of identifying commercially viable opportunities and negotiating deals
- Proficiency working within CRMs similar to Salesforce or Dynamics CRM
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office 365 products
- You have a passion for sales and for being a part of a fast-growing aviation company
- You are comfortable with working from home, but also value the in-person interaction with colleagues and occasionally traveling to meet vendors and clients
- You have a knack for problem solving
- You possess strong analytical skills
- You are mathematically inclined
- Available to work a flexible schedule that will include early starts, late finishes, weekends, public holidays and some on-call requirements
- Self-motivated with the discipline to work remotely
- Able to provide a high level of professionalism and customer service
