Job description

Job Summary:

The Regional Storage Manager will oversee the overall management of the storage services, facility repairs, maintenance activities, marketing, building engineering and operations, vendor management, safety, and physical security for all properties within the region.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the daily workflow of the team.
  • Holding all Managers accountable for their performance and behavior in accordance with policies, facility guidelines, directives, and instructions
  • Managing the management team to include coaching, development, training and cross-training, time-off requests, reviews, approval and delivery of performance counseling and evaluations.
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on role managing, leading, and growing business units including all current facility management responsibilities; office, reporting, maintenance, and operations; marketing, audits, collections, and auctions.
  • Developing and implementing departmental strategy consistent with the corporate vision that follows the corporate business plan.
  • Manages maintenance and service programs relating to the interior and exterior conditions and appearance of the properties improving curb appeal protecting and prolonging the useful life of assets.
  • Performs scheduled property inspections for all sites to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Capable of developing capital improvement and deferred maintenance plans and budgets for assigned locations.
  • Play a leadership role in the implementation and evaluation of digital campaigns.
  • Produces and maintains various reports and metrics.
  • Collaborates with department heads to coordinate sales, record controls, and purchasing.
  • Establishes safety and security programs and training activities.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to manage and coordinate a variety of shipping methods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Five years of related experience preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience training, developing, and managing staff.
  • Proven organizational, management and analytical skills.
  • Must exhibit self-initiative, accountability, flexibility, and good leadership skills.
  • Problem solver with the ability to organize multiple priorities, tasks, and requests.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time.
  • Ability to stand/walk 8 hours a day; reach overhead, bend, squat, twist, reach, grasp, and grip.
  • Position requires up to 50% travel between facilities as needed and must have a clean driving record.
