As our nationwide growth accelerates, West Shore Home’s Digital Product Development team, Lighthouse Studio, plays a key role in driving forward our mission of Bringing Happiness to Every Home® by taking accountability over the inception and execution of ideas that will revolutionize the home remodeling industry.
As a Director of Software Development, you will contribute to this mission by balancing technical expertise with leadership and management skills to ensure high-quality software is delivered on time.
You will report directly to our Vice President of Digital Product, oversees a team of Software Development Managers, Software Developers, and Test Engineers, and will work closely with Product Management, Digital Product Design, and the Quality Assurance departments.

In this role, you can expect to:
- Oversee the entire Software Development lifecycle, from conception to development, deployment, and maintenance.
- Authority to recruit, hire, train, and manage the performance of individuals and teams.
- Ensure the prioritization and adherence to security, monitoring, logging, and coding standards.
- Ownership over the allocation of resources to projects to ensure delivery.
- Establish and enforce Software Development standards and best practices.
At West Shore Home, we are Default Aggressive towards our goals and take Extreme Ownership of our results. We’ll provide you with the training and tools to set you up for success, and we hope that you’ll bring:
- 5+ years of Software Development leadership
- 5+ years of experience executing Agile Software Development best practices.
- Track record of collaborating with product management to deliver strong results across business.
- Ability to manage expectations and interactions between business organizations.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, SE, or related field, preferred.
