This position is in a Salary Grade PM5, with a minimum salary of $58,590 per annum. The successful candidate's salary will be calculated based on education and experience within the grade range. This position is eligible for Northeast Community College's excellent full-time fringe benefits package. This position is grant funded for five years with the ability to apply for additional funding thereafter.

General Description
The purpose of this position is to lead all aspects of the development, implementation and on-going management of the Walter Scott, Jr. Career Pathway Scholarship Program, which provides intensive supports to Scott Scholars so they can earn a college credential that will allow them to find entry level employment in high skill, high wage and high demand careers. This is accomplished through program development, outcomes measurement, program promotion, student recruitment, industry leader engagement, and supervision of other Scott Pathway staff. This position will work directly with multiple Northeast departments and area employers to match scholars with internship opportunities and employment in high skill, high wage, and high demand careers. This position is grant funded for 5 years. This position requires a physical presence on the Norfolk campus. The normal work schedule for this position is Monday - Friday, 8-5, with occasional evening or weekend hours. Frequent travel is necessary.
Qualifications: Education
Bachelor's Degree in a related field (e.g., education, higher education, career and technical education, counseling, or psychology) required. Master's Degree in a related field (e.g., higher education, education, psychology, or counseling) is preferred.
Qualification:Experience
A minimum of three years of student support or other relevant academic experience required. Demonstrated experience in supervising personnel, project or event management, budget management, and working with individuals from diverse backgrounds is preferred.
Qualification:Skills
This position requires excellent organizational and management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent customer service skills are essential. Knowledge of, and involvement in, communities served is highly preferred.
