Job description

Great Plains Communications is looking for an experienced and professional Director of Sales Operations.


This position will transform Sales Operations to be more analytically driven, drawing valuable insights from multiple data points to optimize the sales process and drive performance. Will encompass developing analytical tools, driving operational efficiency, identifying new market opportunities, and ensuring seamless integration and functionality of our sales processes and systems. Will display extensive experience in Sales Operations, data analytics, and has in-depth knowledge of Salesforce.com.

Duties include:

¨ Leads the establishment and optimization of a centralized hub to facilitate improved decision-making on commercial offers, deal structure and capital investments for GPC’s lines of business including commercial and residential.
¨ Designs and implements strategies to centralize commercial operations, ensuring seamless interactions with sales representatives.

¨ Leverages advanced Excel, Tableau and other software capabilities to develop robust analytical tools to guide the sales strategy and commercial decision-making processes.

¨ Creates cash flow analysis tools, business case tools, sales activity tools, and sales funnel tools to facilitate optimal resource allocation and decision-making.


¨ Utilizes data analytics to extract actionable insights from internal and external data sources.

¨ Develops methodologies to analyze and interpret data from various sources, including Salesforce.com and internal systems, to drive sales strategies and initiatives.

¨ Implements innovative solutions and best practices to improve sales processes, eliminate waste, and optimize resources.

¨ Utilizes performance metrics and coaching tailored to company needs and individual salesperson requirements to enhance productivity and bookings.


¨ Conducts comprehensive research to identify and recommend new geographic markets for expansion, considering market dynamics, competition, and potential for growth.

¨ Develops detailed business cases and strategies for entering new markets, considering local regulations, market demand, and logistical challenges.

¨ Develops agile and flexible go-to-market strategies, aligning sales representatives and marketing teams to the right opportunities and ensuring the assembly of the most competent teams for deal closures.

¨ Drives the implementation of smarter, automated sales processes to enhance customer satisfaction, improve efficiency, and boost sales.

¨ Acts as the subject matter expert in the utilization of Salesforce.com, ensuring optimal use of the platform to drive sales activities and strategies.

¨ Works closely with IT and other relevant departments to enhance and customize Salesforce.com and other software functionalities to meet the organization’s needs.

¨ Provides leadership in defining the vision and strategy for the Sales Operations function, ensuring alignment with the organization’s overall business objectives.

¨ Collaborates with cross-functional teams to align resources, develop synergies and enhance the overall operational efficiency and effectiveness of the organization.

  • Takes direction from the CRO who may assigne other duties and responsibilities as required.

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred

Minimum of 10 years of experience in Sales Operations or similar role with a focus on analytics and strategy design; telecommunications industry experience is advantageous.
