This role requires at 3+ years of Restaurant Facilities experience and experience managing the facilities needs of at least 40 locations.

Immediate Opportunity for:

DIRECTOR OF FACILITIES

Director of Facilities is to support Operations in the implementation of both tactical and long-term strategy for the brand. The Director of Facilities is responsible for supporting the field by protecting the physical assets of our business. The Director of Facilities manages the workflow of all repairs and develops predictive cost modeling to allow for planned investments into our grounds, buildings, and equipment. The Director of Facilities continuously prioritizes all spending of repair budget (capital, major and R&M) while investing in our grounds, buildings, and equipment, while gaining alignment with AFC direction through partnership with the SVP of Development and Facilities – AFC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete regularly scheduled restaurant audits, making recommendations for needed repairs and working with Operations Management and Training Team by training or coaching on how to effect minor repairs to help reduce repair costs
  • Decide and dispatch the workflow of repair and maintenance
  • Evaluate and audit R&M accounts each period, creating and tracking accounts to monitor trends and effect desired change. Executing a declining balance and budget by brand
  • Identify high-cost areas and develop plan of action to reduce expenses where applicable
  • Review and approve facilities contracts and vendors, ensuring appropriate qualifications and certificates of insurance are in place
  • Manage facility related vendors to ensure timely repairs and preventive maintenance performance, as well as accurate and timely billing of invoices
  • Develop the annual capital, major and repair and maintenance expenditures. Focusing to preemptive measure to lower or eliminate ongoing cost
  • Project Management design upgrades and refreshes
  • Contract major repairs and maintenance and communicates issues to the operations teams
  • Audits and provides solutions to ensure safe environments for guests and employees Partnering with Risk Management to find viable business-based solutions
  • Provide emergency/ disaster response for all properties as needed
  • Oversees warranty compliance matters as required

Job Requirements and Essential Functions

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Hospitality or Hotel/Restaurant Management or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
  • 5+ years of finance, operations, or project management experience
  • 3-5 years restaurant industry experience
  • Superior business acumen; strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and impact business results at an organization level
  • Excellent communication skills-written, verbal and presentation; demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, persuade and collaborate with team and peers
  • Able to manage/lead others, integrate change and build a diverse and effective team
  • Ability to travel to multiple markets and support multiple projects simultaneously
  • Working knowledge of Restaurant equipment, maintenance, & operating requirements
  • Extensive knowledge of building & health codes
  • General knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC & plumbing systems
