POSITION SUMMARY: At Balfour Senior Living our luxury developments designed by award-winning architects encompass a new generation of retirement living offering a full continuum of services from independent living through assisted living and memory care. We have an exciting opportunity for the Director, Resident Services, to join our team. A Resident Services director is a managerial professional oversees the day-to-day operations of concierge, life enrichment and transportation, dining services to ensure they meet all necessary health and safety standards and provide a comfortable living environment for residents.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: • Developing, planning, implementing, supervising, and monitoring the Resident Services staff and program for residents consistent with regulations and established best practices. • Oversees updating paperwork, ordering supplies, and handling financial responsibilities such as creating and maintaining budgets or negotiating contracts with vendors. • Oversees Concierge, Life Enrichment, Transportation, and dining services associates. • Manages all staff members, coordinating essential training, and assisting with the lease application and move[1]in processes when needed. • Developing, planning, implementing, supervising, and monitoring the Resident Services staff and programs for residents consistent with regulations and established best practices. • Managing and overseeing all aspects of Resident activities including events, social activities, etc. • Providing tours of the faculty to families with prospective residents when needed. • Managing staff scheduling and training. • Aligning and overseeing budgets, long-term care processing, and general inquiries in partnership with the Executive Director. • Ensures that the schedule is set, and that call-offs are covered. • Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, & SKILLS REQUIRED: • Bachelor’s degree preferred • Two or more years’ senior living experience preferably in the local community with knowledge of community influencers and service-oriented groups • Strong communication skills with the ability to relate well to others and to connect and build relationships • Strong problem-solving skills for analyzing difficult situations and finding effective solutions • Experience and expertise with technology systems including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel and lead tracking software • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed • Set schedule to meet the needs of the team and community • Lead by example with diplomacy, empathy, consistency, humility, and confidence; and possess superior customer service skills and professionalism.
