```Job Summary:```
Directors of Rehabilitation work to insure that all therapists working under the director are responding to the patients within the facility adequately. The director is in charge of keeping up to date on licenses that are required by each individual therapist. This person is required to review reports from each individual patient requiring rehabilitation.
```Duties:```
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the rehabilitation department
- Manage and supervise a team of Rehabilitation professionals
- May be required to provide hands-on services to patients.
- Directors will normally be at a desk reviewing reports unless an observation of patients is required.
- Frequent walking to follow up on patients' progress and requires meetings with patients, director is the only worker able to deem a patient rehabilitated and clear them from the facility.
- Lead on creating and implementing programs with the clients inside the facility.
- Utilize practice management software (such as Dentrix or Epic) to streamline operations
- Implement budgeting and utilization management strategies to optimize resources.
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff, promoting professional development
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
```Qualifications:```
- A degree in physical therapy, occupational therapy, or speech therapy
- Requires extensive knowledge of the rehab's goals and the ability to convey this knowledge to the employees.
- Strong knowledge of Rehabilitation practices, techniques, and equipment
- Excellent leadership and management skills
- Proficiency in medical record management systems (such as Dentrix or Epic)
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Budgeting experience is highly desirable
