They are in search of a Director of Quality Control (Microbiology), who is going to lead a dynamic Microbiology team responsible for ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Direct multiple laboratory teams, ensuring timely and accurate testing of raw materials, in-process, and finished goods. Set the strategic vision for monitoring programs, validations, and quality objectives.
- Team Empowerment: Foster a culture of innovation and cross-training within the Microbiology Department. Develop and motivate staff to adhere to quality performance standards.
- Innovation and Technology: Stay abreast of cutting-edge technologies. Ensure the department is well-equipped with up-to-date instrumentation and implements advancements as needed.
- Data analysis and Improvement: Develop and implement programs for analyzing microbiological test data. Identify trends, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions to maintain product sterility assurance.
- Regulatory Interaction: Represent the department in inspections and audits. Seek expert advice on compendial test issues from industry professionals and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications & Desired Skills
- Bachelor's degree in a Life Science discipline with emphasis in Microbiology; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of Quality Control laboratory and technical operations experience.
- Proven leadership with 7+ years managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills and in-depth knowledge of GMP, GLP, and FDA guidelines.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with partners, regulators, and industry stakeholders.
