The Director, Project Management & Business Administration leads the administrative operations, project planning, and delivery functions of the firm to ensure an exceptional level of internal and external client experience in service delivery across the department.

The role leads the successful initiation, planning, and delivery of strategic projects within the firm. With a focus on precision and efficiency, this leadership position oversees the entire project life cycle, ensuring alignment with firm objectives, timelines, and budget constraints. The director will collaborate with key stakeholders to align projects with firm goals, optimize resource utilization, and foster a culture of excellence in project execution.

What you will be doing...

  • Develops and implements project planning strategies aligned with firm goals, ensuring projects contribute to overall success.
  • Provides direction, guidance, and support throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identifies and mitigate potential risks by implementing proactive risk management strategies, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Fosters collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, alignment of objectives, and successful project outcomes.
  • Continuously improves Project Management processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Establishes and monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess project performance, identify areas for improvement, and report progress to leadership.
  • Stays abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and Project Management best practices, incorporating innovative approaches into project planning and execution.
  • Addresses challenges and obstacles promptly, employing effective critical thinking skills to keep projects on track and meet objectives.
  • Provides guidance and mentorship to direct reports and team members, fostering professional development and a culture of continuous learning.
  • Manages project budgets, ensuring financial accountability and transparency, and optimizes resource utilization for cost-effectiveness.
  • Prepares and presents regular reports to leadership, highlighting project status, milestones, and key performance indicators.
  • Develops and executes department strategic plans that are in alignment with Firm strategic plans as determined by the Managing Principal and Board of Directors
  • Merger and Acquisition support to include process monitoring and management, deliverable creation or editing, and meeting scheduling.
  • Other items as directed by the Chief Operating Officer or leadership.

What you will need to succeed...

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Five to seven years’ experience in a Project Management role
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in a Department Head or comparable leadership role
