As the Director of Project Management, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the direction of our technical projects. This role involves driving high-level goals and roadmaps, monitoring progress, defining functional requirements, and ensuring the successful delivery of new products and features. You will leverage your strong technical background, understanding of system architecture, and collaborative skills to make a significant impact.
- Build, manage, and set direction for teams and individual team members, ensuring their success
- Identify and solve systemic, organizational-wide problems by collaborating with Marketing, Product Management, and Engineering to define needs and support strategic planning and execution
- Lead technical discussions, acting as a thought leader during AI project reviews
- Design and execute process and strategy frameworks for goal setting and decision-making
- Articulate your team’s technology vision, requirements, goals, and milestones to stakeholders, fostering collaboration across teams and functions
- Integrate technical knowledge and subject matter expertise to make informed decisions that influence business direction through data-driven analysis
- Develop and manage end-to-end project plans, ensuring on-time delivery, and perform risk and change management on projects
- Influence program/product direction, simplify complexity, and establish shared goals with product teams across the company to build alignment and scale products
- Own the execution of applying machine learning (ML)/artificial intelligence technologies such as computer vision, NLP, speech/audio, or personalization
- Advocate for the adoption and understanding of Generative Artificial Intelligence (Gen AI) technologies
- Educate clients, industry stakeholders, and the general public about the potential and benefits of Gen AI services
- Drive awareness, build relationships, and foster enthusiasm for Gen AI innovation by combining technical expertise with exceptional communication skills
- Establish yourself as a subject matter expert in Gen AI services, staying up-to-date with the latest trends, advancements, and use cases in the field
- Collaborate with sales and business development teams to support client engagement efforts by providing technical expertise and delivering compelling presentations
- Engage with clients to understand their needs, challenges, and goals, and offer tailored solutions leveraging Gen AI services
- Identify and engage potential partners, industry influencers, and thought leaders to amplify the reach and impact of Gen AI services
- Gather feedback from clients, users, and the community to provide insights to the product development and engineering teams for continuous improvement of Gen AI services
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies related to AI and Gen AI services
- B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience
- Software engineering, systems engineering, or technical product/program management experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred
- Proven experience translating non-technical to technical requirements, describing features/system details, and communicating technical information effectively
- Track industry and market trends, assess new technologies/products, and demonstrate thought leadership
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Experience establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and partners in different time zones
- Ability to manage offshore teams, cost controls, and Product teams roadmap adherence
- Experience working with product teams to deliver end-to-end customer-focused products with technical knowledge of underlying platforms and technologies
- Experience with large-scale ML/AI platforms, including dataset generation, feature development, model testing, and resource management
- Strong understanding of AI concepts, machine learning, and natural language processing
- Excellent public speaking, presentation, and communication skills
- Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences
- Enthusiasm for emerging technologies and a passion for driving innovation
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and build relationships with external stakeholders
- Creative and strategic mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and challenges
In order to comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws in various locations, we believe the target range of base compensation for this role is $160,000 - $200,000. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
