Job description

The Director of Product will be responsible for setting the product vision, driving strategy and managing the roadmap for a growth portfolio of Products across the CNET Group.  This individual will work closely with their team, the broader product organization, engineering, and cross-functional stakeholders to set shorter term objectives that are aligned to revenue, audience, consumer LTV and engagement KPIs.

We are looking for someone with experience in delivering in a fast paced environment which has a portfolio of digital products at different stages of maturity. You will be able to make solid decisions based on data and insights and execute rapidly to scale the company's products that are right for our customers and partners.

What You'll Do

  • Work with stakeholders to develop a product vision, strategy and roadmap for several RV products, including registration/authentication, commerce and the content management system to name a few
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, data, and business stakeholders to gather input, and ensure alignment/awareness of goals
  • Build a strong partnership with internal teams to gain a deep understanding of Products, platforms and technology
  • Be an organizational champion for embracing a customer focused mindset
  • Perform competitive analysis and suggest areas of opportunity for continued differentiation to create competitive advantage
  • Maintain keen awareness of industry landscape to a leadership role in generating new, innovative ideas and staying abreast of market trends
  • Make data driven decisions using existing analytics data, as well as defining new data points that will enable future enhancements
  • Define and report regularly on key metrics
  • Foster a team culture of learning and experimentation and iteration
  • Lead team of high-talent product managers and create career growth opportunities for existing team members
  • Communicate clearly and directly with employees about performance expectations, productivity, and accountability
  • Create alignment and transparency both within product development teams and with stakeholder teams through the organization
  • Represent the company in a professional manner in client, strategic partnership, and contractual discussions
  • Lead cross-product prioritization and product launches from end-to-end

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrable track record of delivering user and business value across products. They will have experience in consumer products, e-commerce, digital marketing, or data products. They will have a customer focused mentality. They will be able to mentor and inspire their team.

  • Overall work experience of over 5+ years, including experience in e-commerce or digital media, preferably working on consumer-facing websites or services
  • Experience with Agile product processes
  • Experience driving user-focused products with millions of users preferred
  • Knowledgeable about website development processes and capabilities, content management systems, and APIs
  • Experience managing a team
  • Outstanding communication and organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at one time
  • Ability to retain mental models of complex technical systems, and to explain those systems to non-technical stakeholders
  • Familiarity with organic and paid search marketing tactics (SEO/SEM/PPC)
  • Background with landing page best practices and a A/B testing methodologies
  • Strong business acumen, and the ability to synthesize product insights from analytics and metrics
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and highly adaptable

Compensation

  • Cash Compensation Range: $145K-$260K*
    *Note actual salary is based on geographic location, qualifications, and experience. 
  • Enrollment in Red Ventures Long Term Incentive Plan (Equity)
