The role you'll contribute:
The Director of Philanthropy leads the planning, implementation, evaluation, and communication that results in gifts by engaged ADU alumni, friends, foundations, and corporations to approved University programs and initiatives. The Director will focus on annual fund, major and estate gifts, and grants. The Director will lead the team in the Office Philanthropy. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

The role you'll contribute:

The Director will focus on annual fund, major and estate gifts, and grants. The Director will lead the team in the Office Philanthropy. The value you'll bring to the team:
- Maintains a portfolio of potential, major, and estate gift donors
- Manages the University Foundation Board meetings activities and communicates regularly with the members between meetings
- Facilitates current and relevant communications with alumni, donors and potential donors using both traditional and innovative media
- Chairs the Grants Management committee
- Serves as a member of the Scholarship Awards and Banquet committees and other University committees as appointed
- Keeps abreast of current issues and trends in philanthropy
Qualifications
What You Will Need:
EDUCATION REQUIRED :
- Master's degree in Business, Marketing or other higher education degree
Education Preferred :
- CFRE - Certified Fund Raising Executive or other philanthropic education
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :
- Minimum of seven years' experience in philanthropy
- Minimum of five years' experience working in postsecondary education setting
- Demonstrated experience in major and estate gift acquisition
