One of our clients in the region has engaged us to recruit a Director of Nursing to join their growing team. The Director of Nursing will oversee the nursing staff and overall nursing operations of the healthcare facility. They will supervise all nursing staff, maintain high standards of care for all patients, manage patients’ data and medical records as confidential records, communicate with doctors, patients, and family members about patient health, recruit, train, and onboard new nursing staff, provide ongoing education classes, and implement new procedures and training Nurses on policies. They will also report to higher management in the healthcare facilities and oversee department budgets.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (Master's degree preferred)
- Current RN license
- Minimum 2 years of progressive nursing leadership experience, preferably in a critical care setting
Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the nursing team
- Ensure adequate staffing and resources to meet patient needs
- Foster a collaborative and supportive culture among the nursing staff
- Advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their needs are met
- Collaborate with hospital executives to set and achieve departmental goals
- Stay current with industry trends and implement best practices in emergency nursing
- Oversee performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback to nursing staff
- Promote a safe and efficient work environment
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and policies
