Job description

JOB SUMMARY
Under the general supervision of the Chief Nursing Officer, oversees the strategic planning, organizing, implementing, and administrative management of the inpatient medical surgical nursing areas in accordance with the policies, procedures, philosophy, and objectives of Saint Francis Medical Center.
Core Responsibilities:
  • Oversees process design and implementation related to patient care delivery focused on safety and quality for areas of responsibility.
  • In partnership with Performance Improvement, maintains regulatory compliance for areas of responsibility.
  • Reviews performance data regularly and coordinates process design to ensure progress toward goals.
  • In collaboration with Human Resources, Training and Development, and Director of Engagement ensures strategies to recruit, retain, develop and engage colleagues are in place and reviewed periodically.
  • Determines the budget necessary to meet clinical aspects of care and administrates the approved budget for areas of responsibility.
JOB DETAILS AND REQUIREMENTS
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.
  • Masters Degree in Education, Healthcare, Nursing, or related field-preferred.
Certification & Licensures:
  • Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Missouri.
  • BLS is required.
Experience:
  • Minimum of five (5) years of leadership experience.
