Located in the heart of Manhattan, the luxurious Conrad New York Midtown offers discerning travelers a uniquely spacious and innately residential retreat. The 562 luxury accommodations include spacious suites and striking views. The hotel features a curated art program, a 1,500 square foot fitness center and 6,000 square feet of flexible function space and Dabble, located off the lobby. Set on a quiet side street just steps away from Central Park, the hotel is surrounded by the best of New York City including Rockefeller Center, MoMA and the Theater District. The hotel was ranked by Conde Nast Traveler as one of the top hotels in NYC.

In this role, you will report directly to the Director of Sales and Marketing and work closely with the revenue team to ensure that the leisure and transient sales strategy is in line with the property's business needs.

The ideal candidate will be based in market and have a solid network of consortia accounts with 5 years' experience in Leisure Sales.  Luxury experience in a 4- or 5-star hotel required.

What will I be doing?

The Director of Luxury and Leisure Sales is responsible for generating new luxury Consortia, Entertainment and Tour/Wholesale accounts in order to maximize transient revenue, profits and market share.

       Develop and solicit new Consortia accounts with a focus on American Express Fine Hotels & Resorts, Virtuoso, Travel Leaders Select and Signature

       Monitor implementation of packages and offers with operational departments and deploy to luxury partnerships (FH&R, Virtuoso, Signature)

       Develop relationships with International and Diplomatic clientele

       Develop FIT, Wholesale, Entertainment, Local and Corporate negotiated accounts

       Support and promote leisure packages, offers and promotions in conjunction with the Revenue Management and Marketing Teams

       Set and negotiate rates for special corporate/preferred and local volume negotiated accounts, with direction from Revenue Management and DOSM

       Conduct research on key account room night/revenue performance at competitive-set

       Prepare account performance reports on a weekly, quarterly and annual basis

        Grow relationships with current accounts

       Host and direct on-property Travel Partner FAM Trips, Site Inspections and Educational Tours

       Plan and execute sales calls, presentations and client entertainment with retail travel agents, luxury travel managers, and other intermediaries

       Consistently present a polished, professional image of the Resort

       Effectively cross-sell Resort outlets and revenue centers (i.e., spa, dining, golf and activities)

       International and Domestic Travel required based on the marketing plan focusing on retail travel agencies, consortia and wholesale accounts

       Will be self-motivated, team-oriented, ambitious and driven for sales success

       Execute additional projects and duties as assigned by the Home Office and property

       Interview, train and supervise staff

The annual salary range for this role is $100K-$125K plus bonus and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location
