ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Plan, organize, and implement resident activities at St. Paul’s.
· Plan and organize special events.
· Supervise departmental staff including conducting annual performance appraisals.
· Conduct training and on-going education of departmental staff or other staff as assigned.
· Lead department in performance improvement projects and maintaining regulatory compliance with Department of Health requirements.
· Must certify competence driving St. Paul’s transporation vehicles within 90 days of hire and annually thereafter.
· Oversee documentation or complete as needed MDS assessments, care plans, and progress notes.
· Administrative functions such as preparing and maintaining annual department budget, ordering supplies, dietary requistions, scheduling staff, attending meetings and completing appropriate reports.
· Attend Management Meetings, Quality Assurance, Eden Meetings, Joining Generations, Fundraising and other meetings as assigned.
· Attend training and development seminars.
· Schedule volunteers in conjunction with Director of Volunteer Services.
· Audit Charts – Care plans, assessment and participation records for timing, accuracy and completeness.
· Investigate feasibility of new activities. Update on adaptations and information regarding special needs.
· Assist residents at meal times, make announcements and support spiritual services as needed.
· Invite family members to attend special functions and events at St. Paul’s.
· Confidentiality Critical.
NON‑ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Speak to groups and lead activities. Motivate staff and residents.
· Assist in Public Relations for St. Paul’s.
· Good verbal and written communication skills and conflict resolution skills.
· Assist setting up tables and chairs for functions.
· Maintain storage areas and equipment.
· Assist setting up media and other equipment for various functions.
· Be able to use computer and other technology as indicated.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
