Description
The Harker School seeks a Director of Library Services TK-12, effective July 1, 2024. The primary goal of the position is to provide leadership that optimizes the educational outcomes of the library program, in line with the goals articulated in its vision statement: To empower students and staff to be critical thinkers, enthusiastic readers, skillful researchers, and ethical users of ideas and information. The Director of Library Services reports directly to the assistant head of school, academic affairs and supervises and supports two upper school librarians, a middle school and transitional kindergarten librarian, two lower school librarians, a TK-12 electronic resources librarian and archivist, and six library assistants. Harker is a private, non-sectarian, coeducational day school in San Jose for students in kindergarten through grade 12 that has earned international recognition for its top-level academics, quality teachers, outstanding facilities, and student achievements. Educating 1,978 students, The Harker School is the largest independent school of its kind in California, located on beautiful campuses just minutes apart.
Expected Salary Range: $125,000 - $150,000
