This is an exciting time to work for Amarillo College! We are currently seeking a Full-Time Director of Institutional Effectivenesswho will be responsible for meeting the Institutional Effectiveness needs of Amarillo College. This position assists the Executive Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Accreditation. This position is responsible for the systematic and comprehensive analysis of outcomes assessments including. strategic planning, Institutional Effectiveness, and accreditation, with particular emphasis on using data to assess and direct the institution's progress toward meeting the College's institutional goals and stated mission.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION:
Required: Master's Degree from an accredited institution.
Preferred: Master's Degree in Education, Social Sciences, or appropriate research-related field from an accredited institution.
EXPERIENCE:
Required:

  • 1 year of experience in high level reporting; or,
  • 1 year of experience in data analysis and outcomes assessment management; and,
  • 1 year of experience in administration

Preferred:
  • 3 years of experience in Institutional Effectiveness and outcomes assessment
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Serve as administrator of the Blackboard Outcomes Assessment platform.
  • Manage and coordinate the Institution's learning outcomes assessment cycles and assessment planning to include: general education and program student learning outcomes.
  • Assist members of the college-wide community in a consultative role to implement and monitor outcomes assessment, service outcomes, program outcomes, and integration of budgeting and planning.
  • Under the supervision of the Executive Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Accreditation, assist in writing and preparing substantive change prospectuses and compliance report documentation for SACSCOC accreditation.
  • Assists with compliance efforts of the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board including legislation (HB's and SB's that impact higher education), the annual Accountability Survey, and compliance with NC-SARA for distance education.
  • Update and maintain the College's program and course inventories with the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB).
  • Reconcile Core Curriculum with the THECB and ensures all Core Curriculum courses are assessed.
  • Collaborate with the Center for Teaching and Learning to provide professional learning and training for faculty in matters of assessment and Institutional Effectiveness.
  • Update and maintain the ETPS (Eligible Training Providers System) to include program and student performance reporting to the state.
  • Manage the administration of surveys (CCSSE, SENSE, surveys under Class Climate, et al.) as multiple measures for validating student learning and service outcomes.
  • Perform data reduction, statistical analysis of data, and interpretation of results.

Physical Demands: While an employee is to successfully perform the essential functions of this job the employee is frequently required to travel between offices and buildings, and requires the ability to lift, carry, push, pull and/or maneuver office supplies as needed.
Working Environment: This position operates in a professional office environment, routinely uses standard office equipment (i.e. computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, fax machines), and may require work outside of the office with little to no supervision.
Working Conditions: Must be willing to work a flexible schedule (days, nights, weekends, holidays, and varying events if necessary.)
Salary: Amarillo College Staff Salary Schedule grade 14
