Director of Greenhouse

This job is located in Saratoga, WY

The greenhouse at The Farm at Brush Creek is committed to producing and delivering the highest quality produce for the Brush Creek luxury collection in a seed to table concept.

The three modern greenhouses that are totaling 20,000 sq. ft. use various growing systems like hydroponics, high wire system and soil systems and are committed to growing sustainable in a high tech and high performing way.

Candidates must have a horticulture background and experience in managing production greenhouses.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Planning

- Gather weekly needs from chefs at all properties six months prior to season opening

- Create seeding lists based on chefs’ needs

- Manage task lists for each seeded batch

- Send out forecast of produce for each property on a weekly basis

Administrative

- Actively update records and procedures for organic certification

- Manage operational budgets

- Lead capital expenditure projects for the greenhouse

Management

- Active member of the team to help with all plant maintenance needs where needed

- Maintain a clean greenhouse environment

- Manage staff to ensure tasks are executed properly, on-time and highest standard is maintained

- Enhance guests’ experience by hosting greenhouse tours to show where the ranch food comes from

-Minimize waste/loss by developing relationships to sell overflow locally to restaurants or farmer's markets

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
