Responsibilities:
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage Global Spend of Resins and Direct Materials: about $1 billion in spend.
  • Direct Global Strategy for resins by managing direct reports who have commodity responsibilities and dotted lines from other regions of globe who have regional accountabilities.
  • Conduct yearly global bids for all GPC volumes.
  • Identify and qualify new suppliers to drive value for GPC and our customers.
  • Negotiate monthly market price changes to drive value and EBITA for the business.
  • Facilitate new materials and market trends that keep GPC competitive in the market.
  • Knowledge of Global market trends, pricing, and events for both all the raw materials to produce resins but the raw material components that make up the products.
  • Support commercial needs with customer direct negotiations on resin sales price. These programs set and determine direct EBITDA contributions to company.
  • Support Financial needs of GPC.
    • Forecast pricing for a twelve-month rolling business needs for each resin.
    • Set Budgets for upcoming year.
    • Understand financial impacts of all the price negotiations to benefit GPC.
    • Establish strategies to enable GPC to gain EBITDA throughout contract life cycle.
  • Supplier Interactions
    • Develop and maintain relationships with all major suppliers up to and including the CEO level of these fortune 500 companies.
    • Work with Suppliers to develop BCP programs to protect GPC business in “Act of God” events.
    • Be on cutting edge with supply base for new material innovations.
    • Work to establish 3–5-year strategies for evolving food grade PCR needs.
    • Develop strategy for continuously lowering carbon footprint.
  • Develop Direct reports management and category skills
    • Track global supply and demand balances of resin production, utilization rates, and regional trade volumes.
    • Understand in detail global and regional cost to produce end products.
    • Mock negotiations to prepare for supplier interactions.
  • Work directly with BU Presidents and members of ELT team
    • Support new business cases and provide market guidance to team.
    • Support Sustainability needs of organization through driving to meet our ESG, PCR and Carbon goals.
Qualifications:
Core Proficiencies and Skills
  • 7-10 years procurement experience.
  • Bachelor degree in Business or other related field
  • Management experience
  • Proven track record of delivering annual savings to business.
  • Good Communication and Leadership skills.
The standard compensation for this role is $139,400 - $201,300. Salary offers will be determined based on final candidate qualifications, experience, skillset, and other relevant factors.
Compensation Statement: The expected salary range for the position described in this posting is made in accordance with the legal mandates of certain jurisdictions within the United States.
