Who We Are
WTC Utah’s mission is to connect local companies to global opportunities through our programs, networks, and services. The core component of this effort is the Global Business Services Division, which consults small businesses on their international opportunities, develops international growth strategies, and helps execute those strategies around the globe. This small team works with companies in every industry across the state, identifying and delivering on opportunities to drive their global growth through market research, strategic advisory, business matchmaking, regulatory analysis, and supply chain optimization.
Work you’ll do
As a Director on our Global Business Services team, you’ll use your skills and experience to:

• Deliver World Trade Center Utah’s innovative Global Business advisory services to its member companies and the broader Utah business community to guide them in their global growth. These services include:
  • Market research and competitive analysis
  • Formulation of company and market specific go-to-market strategy reports
  • Regulatory and political risk analysis
  • Distributor, supplier, and partner identification and matchmaking
  • Foreign direct investment and site selection advisory
  • Other technical trade and business advisory services with an international focus
• Oversee the delivery of technical services to companies to guide the businesses we work with to make informed decisions which aid their global growth
• Act as an on-call operational and/or strategic advisor to the leadership of the companies we work with
• Coordinate cross-functionally with other departments and teams to improve communication and optimize services
• Contribute to product development and service innovation in response to the changing needs of Utah businesses globally
• Participate in events and speaking engagements to educate stakeholders on international growth opportunities and best practices

Qualifications
Required

• Bachelor's degree in economics, marketing analytics, statistics, business, or related disciplines.
• Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in business-to-business communications and/or strategic sales directed to business organizations; experience in a professional services environment.
• Excellent communicator with a keen eye for detail.
• Experience with project management for complex, multi-dimensional projects.
• Experience in public speaking and presentation training and/or delivery.
• Experience analyzing businesses, industries, and/or global economic affairs
• Proficiency using Excel to analyze data and develop spreadsheets

Preferred

• Advanced degree in business administration, marketing, economics or related disciplines
• Direct B2B advisory sales experience
• Interest in international current events and general cross-cultural awareness
• Trade industry or other international business experience
• Experience using and the following software and databases:
  • Salesforce
  • Fitch Solutions
  • Euromonitor
  • ZoomInfo
  • Descartes Trade Solutions

Who you will report to

• You will report directly to the Managing Director of Global Business Services, who will set organizational goals and direct the overall strategy of the division
• Your success will be measured by your impact on growing and retaining WTC Utah’s client portfolio, delivering positive outcomes for the companies we work with, and improving technical service delivery.
