JOB SUMMARY:  Provides leadership to the teams and staff managing the cash, interest rate risk, funding, and bank relationship functions of Caterpillar Financial Services Corporation (CFSC).

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:  
1. Leads a team of 3 direct reports, 2 leaders and 1 individual contributor. Total team size is 9.
2.Oversees North American Cash Management team, USD and CAD Commercial Paper Issuance and USD Internal Funding.
3.Manages the global liquidity position (monthly and quarterly cash targets), including capital structure targets and monitoring, dividend planning, CFSC liquidity surplus management and reporting.
4.Manages USD, CAD, and other currency institutional term debt (MTN) issuances, programs, compliance and reporting for CFSC term debt outstanding.

5.Reviews, recommends and implements new funding vehicles to broaden the company’s liquidity access.
6.Manages USD retail term debt issuances (RTN) issuances, program, compliance and reporting.
7.Manages CFSC’s PowerInvestment program, which includes vendor relationship, rate strategy, operations and program compliance.
8.Oversees the global Match Funding (Asset/Liability) processing, which includes the collection and accurate sorting of all global assets and liabilities, portfolio reconciliations for the Americas and analysis and recommendations for North America countries.
9.Manages USD and CAD Interest Rate Strategy, which includes Pre-Issuance hedging, hedging completed for match funding purposes and cross currency swap recommendations and execution.
10.Oversees CFSC’s allocation of the enterprise global revolving credit facility.  Responsibilities include, annual renewal, RAROE calculations and covenant compliance and reporting.
11.Supports strategic intercompany lending between CFSC and Cat Inc. and ongoing reporting to meeting strategic enterprise cash targets and cash deployment priorities.  
12.Supports Global Bank Relationship Management to maintain CFSC’s strategic banking partnerships, develop new products, services and lines of business and assists with bank profitability (RAROE) discussions.
13.Supports CFSC’s Rating Agency initiatives including annual relationship meetings and respective presentation along with periodic review of press releases and other publications.
14.Supports CFSC’s Investor Relations activity.
15.Manages quarterly and annual business planning (interest expense) forecast for North America.
16.Provides quarterly review of Cat Insurance’s investment portfolio holdings for statutory filing and SOX and audit compliance purposes.
17.Oversees the global monthly reporting for MTNs, RTNs, commercial paper, interest rate swaps, intercompany debt allocation, interest expense, debt classification, hedge accounting and other monthly reporting procedures.
18.Manages ongoing SOX and PwC audit procedures related to quarterly and annual compliance.  
19.Oversees the Treasury Asset/Liability system, hedge accounting processes and relationships.
20.Acts as Director for several CFSC legal entities.

21.Manages quarterly and annual reporting initiatives related to public SEC filings (10Qs & 10Ks) through calculating and reviewing financial data utilized in multiple financial disclosures. Manages PwC requests in support of their quarterly comfort procedures and annual audit.
22.Conducts business in an utmost professional manner, which involves outside contacts that are extremely visible and performs a great deal of interface with the company’s investment and commercial banking group.  Relationships with all segments of Funding (banks, trustees, agents, investors, rating agencies) will be executed punctually and accurately.
23.Participates in accomplishment of continuous improvement objectives for the department.  Progress toward accomplishment of these is measured through maintenance of necessary measurements and analysis of associated data.  Participates in the identification of problem areas and development of resolutions to address them.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND KNOWLEDGE:

1. Demonstrated ability to attract, retain and grow a highly engaged team.

2. Demonstrated knowledge of the finance industry, risk management concepts and products, and funding strategies

3. Advanced knowledge of and demonstrated ability to develop, recommend, and execute funding solutions.
4. Demonstrated knowledge of foreign currency exchange and interest rate risk management.
5. Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply forecasting and financial modeling techniques.
6. Thorough working knowledge of and demonstrated ability to apply discounted cash flow techniques.
7. Advanced ability to create, read, and analyze various financial reports.
8. Advanced knowledge of banking systems.

9. Demonstrated knowledge of accounting standards and procedures.
10. Demonstrated knowledge of commercial laws and regulations governing operations of CFSC.
11. Awareness of pending legislation which would impact operations of CFSC. 
12. Demonstrated knowledge of economic statistics and their impact on the direction of financial markets.
13. Advanced ability to apply negotiation skills.

14. Knowledge of the mission and marketing strategies of CFSC.
15. Awareness of pending legislation and regulations which would impact operations of CFSC. 
16. Knowledge of the mission and marketing strategies of CFSC.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:  A 4-year college or university degree in any of the business disciplines with significant knowledge of finance/accounting practices and a minimum of 10 years exempt experience in Accounting, Treasury, Risk Management and/or related field is recommended.
