Job Description Summary
The Director of Fraternity and Sorority Leadership Community, under the advisement of the Senior Associate Vice Provost for Student Affairs, is responsible for the oversight, implementation, management and facilitation of Fraternity & Sorority Life programming for student leaders and members of the FSL community. This role will need to develop critical relationships of trust and respect with the fraternity/sorority and University community, international headquarters, campus partners and Alumni Greek Community. The person in this role will advise or supervise the advisors of individual chapters, Order of Omega, Diversity Inclusion, Equity & Belonging initiatives, the Greek Alumni and University Advisors.
This role is complex in nature in that it must proactively develop, implement and fairly enforce policies and operational standards within fraternity/sorority organizations with intentionality related to Risk & Harm Reduction, Leadership Development and Student Holistic Wellness. To operationalize event registration, crisis management, student training for campus wide special events and address organizational conduct. The person in this position advises or supervise the staff advisors of the three governing councils (IGC, IFC & PHC), including all officer positions.
This role works to support, manage and advise Fraternity & Sorority Life Council Programming, including but not limited to Intake and Formal Recruitment, Greek Week events, Diversity Equity Inclusion & Belonging Initiatives, New Member Educational programming, NSO programs, Annual Awards ceremonies, civic engagement, community service and philanthropic efforts for all Greek life chapters and FSL community wide service, and council & chapter officer transitions. As a director, this role will require 24 hr accessibility to manage, supervise and respond to emergencies. This role works closely with Student Intervention Services team when serious incidents occur involving a member of the Fraternity & Sorority community. This person supports in various capacities for office/community wide programs, events, times of increased visibility in the office responsibilities and provides other duties as assigned.
This person is responsible for the overall operations of the Fraternity & Sorority Leadership Development including but not limited to fiscal responsibility, annual budgeting, matters related to Human Resources, strategic planning and annual reporting of outcomes.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years experience in higher ed, or equivalent combination of education and experience, are required. Master's degree preferred
  • Knowledge of Greek letter organizations/systems is required
  • Membership in a fraternity/sorority is preferred
  • Meticulous planner with great attention to detail -able to anticipate project needs, discern priorities and meet deadlines with little supervision
  • Must be willing to work occasional nights/weekends depending on office needs
