Responsibilities –
Develop the recruiting vision and plan for Husky Football. Oversee and make executive decisions as it relates to resource allocations for recruiting initiatives and efforts. This position makes key decisions regarding recruiting, while leading, developing, and overseeing the execution of a yearly vision that includes direct mail, video, graphics, and social media.
Provide recruiting expertise by identifying and evaluating prospects for the coaching staff to evaluate and select through available and permissible sources (e.g., recruiting services, social media platforms, software subscriptions, etc.).
Assist with coaches’ clinics to further develop and cultivate relationships in the coaching community. Help to identify prospects, plan logistics, coordinate travel, and develop strategy. Serve as the recruiting lead for these functions and ensure the team executes accordingly.
Develop objectives and goals for the recruiting program to meet the overall team performance and result expectations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Compliance with the rules and regulations of the University, the NCAA, the Conference, the State of Washington, and any other governing body is of paramount importance to the University. The overall responsibility of this position is for the successful operation of the program in full compliance with all such rules and regulations. As a condition of employment, the Employee shall be required to participate in rules education programs offered by the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Sports Administration, Business, Marketing/Advertising, Communications, Education, or a related field. A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in NCAA collegiate athletics, NFL, coaching, recruiting, scouting, football operations or competition.
Proficiency in NCAA rules as well as Microsoft Office, Outlook, XOS technologies and Hudl scouting software. Must be organized, team-oriented, self-motivated, a hard worker with excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and have a positive attitude. Must have experience in dealing with confidential and sensitive information. Ability to work some evenings and weekends is required.
